Adorable slippers and adorable girl! Love CG too and thought I’d seen all of his movies — but haven’t seen that one! I’ll have to check it out the next time it’s on (and there’s always a next time on TCM).

Hey, just thought of a knitting scene — 9 1/2 Weeks — do you and CR remember when the four of us watched it?? I think our jaws hit the floor for the whole 2 hours — either from the hi jinx or the bad acting/writing/general awful Kimbasingerness. I just watched it again the other day (like Roadhouse and Top Gun, whenever it’s on, I. Must. Watch. It.) But there WAS knitting…

OK, so I have never seen “Mr. Lucky” but I can tell you that you will see Bette Davis knitting in a number of movies such as “Now Voyager” (my absolute favorite), “The Letter” and several others.
Adorable slippers by the way.

Of course! I should’ve remembered that! “Now, Voyager” is my favorite Bette Davis movie–we always always watch when it’s on. Except that I usually crave a cigarette or 2 by the end of the movie. I’m sure I’ve seen “The Letter,” but I don’t quite remember it. Will have to check it out. Thanks!!

I love Mr. Lucky….then again, I love Cary Grant! My daughter is a major TCM fan and talked me into watching the movie with her once. We just loved the way they ‘persuaded’ him to knit. I imagine it was the same when my daughter taught my son!

Wow! Your daughter talk your son how to knit?! That’s wonderful! All those who have Y chromosomes around here roll their eyes whenever a group of us are knitting. They love getting the “fruits of our labor,” just don’t ask them to learn. My husband does a great impersonation of CG, so all I’ve been listening to lately is “I don’t know to knit and that’s the end of it.”

Yeah! Can you believe it! He knit a beautiful scarf for me for Christmas. Last year she talked him into designing and sewing a case for my dpns. He is a manly man of 19 and not easily persuaded to do anything he doesn’t want to do. She must be the master persuader – I pity the man she marries! 🙂

I am definitely going to check out Mr. Lucky. Love Cary Grant! He’s a hoot. Another good knitting movie: Dancing at Lughnasadh. I mean, it’s sad but lotsa knitting. There’s a Lughnasadh glove pattern on Rav that I’ve faved. My favorite, though, is always Grommit, the genius dog who knits.
Could your daughter be any more beautiful? I don’t think so. Adorable slippers too!
